Medical Referrals

Hours: Monday -Thursday 6:45 AM to 5:00 PM

Experience:

Prefer candidates with medical referral experience, but we are open to training individuals with medical office experience.

Job Summary:

Performs a wide range of administrative duties including but not limited to greeting patients, answering phones, processing incoming referrals, entering patient demographics, verifying insurance authorization, scheduling patient appointments, and communicating with referring providers and specialty providers.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for tracking and processing all incoming patient referrals.
• Ensures that referrals are addressed promptly, consistently prioritizing by urgency of patient condition.
• Assembles information concerning the patient’s clinical background and referral needs.
• Works closely with the insurance authorization team to ensure all pre-authorization requirements are met before scheduling patients. Works with authorization staff to ensure authorizations cover services needed.
• Provide superior customer service.
• Is a knowledgeable resource to patients/customers and internal staff, striving to build patient/customer loyalty and confidence.
• Other duties as assigned.

Must be able to pass criminal background checks, drug screening, and current reference checks. Must be at least 18 to apply.
