Description
A DAY IN THE LIFE
Provides leadership of project controls personnel assigned to a project management team. Ensures all Blattner project controls processes and deliverables are efficiently executed and delivered to the project team. Is a subject matter expert in the analysis of project data and provides recommendations for improvements to processes to Director - Portfolio and Project Controls and project management teams ensuring controls remain standardized and consistent across all business units.
STEP INTO THE ROLE
- Oversees the assigned project controls team and third-party consultants in support of project controls team deliverables to Project Management. Provides support, performance evaluation, time approval, recruitment, mentorship to the project controls team.
- Responsible for the development, control, and analysis of Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules and schedule risk analysis, risk management, and management of change.
- Manages the project schedulers workload to ensure all reporting deliverables including schedules, cost forecasts, risk registers and analyses, dashboards, s-curves, and histograms are delivered in a timely manner.
- Drives management and decision making by regularly conducting a strategic analysis of project data. Provides concise actionable recommendations to the project team to meet project objectives.
- Ensures project controls contractual obligations to Clients are met. May advise project management for the evaluation, creation, and execution of contracts and change management.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent education or relevant experience required.
- Five or more years progressive experience in a construction project controls discipline including project scheduling, project cost, or project risk analysis or a combination of these experiences.
- 3-5 years previous experience leading senior level individual contributors required.
- Subject Matter Expertise with Primavera P6.
- This is a remote/ traveling position with the expectation of 50% travel if remote and 25% if willing to relocate to Minnesota.
