Bowser Hyundai of Chippewa is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our growing Service Department.
If you're a skilled technician who takes pride in quality work, accurate diagnostics, and getting the job done right, we'd like to hear from you. You'll have the opportunity to work on Hyundai vehicles while continuing to develop your skills through Hyundai manufacturer training and ongoing technical education.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose, inspect, maintain, and repair Hyundai vehicles according to manufacturer specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and mechanical repairs.
- Accurately diagnose vehicle concerns and determine the appropriate repairs.
- Complete repairs efficiently and correctly while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Document diagnostic findings, repairs, and recommendations on repair orders.
- Communicate effectively with Service Advisors and other members of the Service Department.
- Stay current with new automotive technology, diagnostic procedures, and repair techniques.
- Complete required Hyundai training and certification programs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all manufacturer, dealership, OSHA, and safety requirements.
- Provide professional service that helps ensure a positive customer experience.
What We're Looking For
- Previous automotive technician experience.
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills.
- Pennsylvania Emissions and Safety Inspection License required.
- ASE Certification preferred.
- Hyundai Service Technician training preferred; Kia training will also be considered.
- CDK experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to work independently while also working effectively with the Service Team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Willingness to continue learning as automotive technology evolves.
