OVERVIEW
JOB TITLE: Choral Assistant
LOCATION: St. Paul Campus
PAY RATE: $16.50/hour
HOURS: 2/week
JOB SUMMARY
The Choral Assistants help the Director of Choral Activities with planning, rehearsal, and performance needs related to Chamber Singers and Concert Choir, as well as maintain the Choral Music Library and Database.
The hours of this position are variable, averaging about 2 hours per week.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain the Choral Music Library and Database (Excel)
- Make copies of music as needed; ensure there are enough scores for every member of each ensemble
- Collect and file scores at the end of each concert season and folders at the end of each year
- Add new titles to the Database, following existing formatting
- Label, box and file new and in-use titles in the Library
- Assist the Director of Choral Activities in planning logistics for choral retreats, dress rehearsals, and concerts
- Maintain and update database of choral directors and programs in the surrounding area
- Run on-campus errands as needed
- Submit hours on a bi-weekly timesheet for payment processing
- Depending on interest and skill, update and maintain Social Media accounts for UST Choirs through Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok platforms
QUALIFICATIONS
- Student must be actively involved in the choral program, preferably a member of Chamber Singers or Concert Choir
- Student should possess working knowledge of the Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Music major or minor is preferred
