About the Role:
The Virgin Media Television Traffic team, report to the Traffic Supervisor. The Traffic team plays a key role in supporting the Commercial, Scheduling and Transmission teams by building commercial breaks across our four channels, assigning commercials to scheduled spots, and producing accurate commercial schedules for final transmission.
Specific Tasks and Duties:
Ensure the correct assignment of commercial copy to booked airtime to protect revenue and campaign delivery.
Process and apply advertising agency copy instructions accurately and on time.
Manage late bookings, copy changes, clashes, and category restrictions to maintain schedule integrity.
Quality check advertising copy for technical compliance and adherence to Coimisiún na Meán advertising standards.
Coordinate with Transmission, Scheduling, and Content teams to ensure commercial material is delivered and broadcast correctly.
Calculate and monitor daily commercial airtime limits to ensure regulatory compliance.
Verify and submit daily commercial logs to Nielsen for VMTV Broadcast Channels.
Work with the Presentation team to ensure schedules are completed and delivered to Transmission on time.
Act as the primary point of contact for advertising agencies, Sales, and Commercial teams on campaign requirements and commercial queries.
Coordinate agency deadlines and closedown arrangements for bank holidays, Christmas, and other peak periods.
Liaise with IMRO regarding commercial music rights and usage reporting.
Communicate programme and advertising break changes to Commercial Operations to support accurate audience ratings and reporting.

Skills & Expertise:
Prior experience working in a media environment is advantageous
Third level qualification in Marketing, Communication Studies or Business Studies
Experience working in a sales/client facing role is advantageous
Technically strong – comfortable with learning new systems
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data management tools, with experience generating clear reports for multiple stakeholders.
