The Opportunity
Wolseley Canada is currently seeking a motivated Plant Production Associate to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will support the production and shipping operations of our precast concrete facility while working in a safety-focused environment. This position offers a stable schedule, opportunities for training and development, and the chance to build a long-term career with an industry leader.
Hours of Work
Monday to Thursday: 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Overtime paid after 44 hours per week
What You'll Do
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will:
Set up and take down concrete forms.
Pour concrete into molds.
Load and unload materials as required.
Tie down loads for shipping and transportation.
Operate a variety of hand tools and equipment (training provided).
Operate forklifts, lift trucks, and overhead cranes.
Read and interpret imperial and metric tape measures accurately.
Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained throughout the production and shipping areas.
Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
Support other production, shipping, and yard activities as required.
What You'll Bring
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to perform repetitive bending, twisting, and physical movements throughout the shift.
Ability to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.
Experience operating power tools.
Ability to read and interpret imperial and metric tape measures.
Experience operating overhead cranes and lift trucks/forklifts, or willingness to be trained.
Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
WHMIS and TDG certifications are considered assets.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong reliability, attendance, and work ethic.
Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
Experience in manufacturing, production, construction, concrete, yard, or industrial environments is considered an asset.
Must have a reliable vehicle for transportation.
