Description
Position Summary:
The Manager of Wastewater Operations & Maintenance will lead and manage all wastewater Operation & Maintenance operations, ensuring safety, compliance, quality, and customer satisfaction while driving process improvement, team coordination, and business growth.
Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities:
- Adheres to and promotes all Company Safety Policies and the Company Code of Conduct.
- Oversee and enforce corporate safety, quality, and productivity programs to ensure safe, efficient, and positive work practices.
- Oversee group operations to ensure success and regulatory compliance, mitigate errors and support corrective actions.
- Research, plan, and implement cost-control methods while maintaining safety, quality, financial, and performance standards.
- Manage group resources and budgets to meet performance goals.
- Develop and document new operational methods and procedures to enhance efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
- Resolve complex regulatory compliance and technical issues to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Oversee and assure regulatory compliance, enforcement, and interactions with client, Environmental Protection Agencies, and other regulatory bodies.
- Recruit, lead, and develop talent through programs that support succession planning and promote continuous employee improvement.
- Drive business development by identifying opportunities, maintaining industry relationships, and leading proposal efforts to secure new work.
- Serve as company representative to internal and external groups, ensuring effective communication and coordination with all parties.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise 3-4 direct reports and ability to oversee teams of 15+ employees.
Hiring Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7 years' experience in Water or Wastewater management.
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership position responsible for directing and coordinating staff, subcontractors and consultants, and making organizational decisions.
- Valid 5C Wastewater License or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to make independent decisions and multi-task.
- Demonstrated experience in directing and coordinating staff, subcontractors, and consultants.
- OSHA 10 General Industry Certification, or ability to obtain during pre-employment (company provided online training).
- Obtain and maintain a DOT medical card and pass pre-employment drug screen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid unrestricted Driver's License.
