Overview
Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Storekeeper, supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB in Tullahoma, TN. The selected candidate will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for [e.g. operating and maintaining or supporting] the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.
The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work any shift, and shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the time the selected candidate is cleared to report to work.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will under general supervision, calibrate and repairs various instruments for electrical and mechanical measurements used in aeronautical tests and research activities and in plant control. Supplementary Functions: Participation in functional specific safety training.
Job Duties:
- Under general supervision or Lead Storekeeper’s direction works in Bench Stock/Shop Stocks, Warehouse, Storage, Salvage Yard, Receiving, Shipping, HazMat, and Distribution Teams areas
- Loads, unloads, moves and straightens stock
- Checks, identifies, and verifies accuracy of records and quantities of material received, stored, shipped, or issued
- Help determine layout and location for storage. Suggests substitutable items when requested items are not in stock
- Labels, tags, and identifies stock in Storage
- Engages in Physical Inventory, count material, and reports slow moving, depleted, deteriorated, spoiled stock and out of balance conditions
- Reviews incoming material for overage, shortage, damage and obvious defects. Tags components and updates CMMS Records
- Acts on material disposition and return
- Receives, transport, stores and initiates records of all incoming/outgoing test material
- On site loading/unloading of aircrafts
- Operates work order staged materials storage areas
- Keeps work areas and equipment clean and free of fire and safety hazards
- Opens storage containers for customer review. Issues and transports material, including repairables, between storage areas and delivery points and makes interplant deliveries
- Operates and performs operator maintenance on power-lift trucks, delivery trucks and other comparable equipment
- Operates vehicles in making off-area trips for pickup or delivery of material
- Packages, weighs, and loads outbound shipments
- Initiate/update system transactions associated with Work Request, Work Order Task, Storeroom Catalog data and Material/Property records
- It is a condition of employment to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy
- Performs other related duties as required
Basic Qualifications:
- Must possess High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three years of experience in Industrial Storekeeping
- One year of experience in the operation of forklifts
- Valid State Driver’s License
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English to safely understand and execute technical manuals, safety procedures, and operational instructions
- Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and satisfy requirements for access to the AEDC local area network
- Current U.S. Citizenship is required due to Department of Defense security and federal contract requirements at AEDC
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance
- Knowledge of Electronic Commerce, Bar Code Applications and Commercial Document Scanning applications
- Ability to use Personal Computer in a Windows Based Operations System, and Client Server networking environment
- Ability to operate industrial powered and mechanical material handling equipment, (side loaders, stock pickers, pallet jacks, etc.) in addition to forklift operation
