Raytheon Field Service is seeking a mission‑focused Senior Field Service Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will provide critical 24/7 operational support at overseas military installations to ensure the reliability and performance of servers hosting multiple full‑motion video feeds from Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) sources.
You will be responsible for maintaining uninterrupted data dissemination to military users through hands‑on hardware and software installations, system configuration, software updates, network setup, system administration, information assurance, and comprehensive maintenance of fielded systems.
This position is essential to supporting real‑time operational readiness in a dynamic environment.
This Mission Critical / Essential, is an unaccompanied onsite position in Jordan for a long-term assignment under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with additional compensation benefits and potential extensions.
You will be primarily based in Jordan but may be assigned to other locations within the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Must be willing to travel via military air and land transport.
Employment is contingent upon meeting all medical requirements for overseas assignments including comprehensive post-offer medical examination.
What You Will Do
- Create, manage, and maintain user and administrative accounts across all systems.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve both software and hardware-related issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Perform, test, and validate software upgrades and updates provided by the engineering team.
- Create, maintain, and recover system data backups to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
- Configure, support, and maintain network equipment such as switches and routers, including applying basic network configurations.
- Maintain cybersecurity compliance by applying patches, implementing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) controls, and updating associated documentation.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes for large hardware servers and related equipment.
- Provide technical assistance and support to system users through telephone-based help channels.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 8+ years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5+ years’ experience.
- Possess current Security+ CE credential
- Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience with Microsoft Server 2019/2022 and Windows 10/11 operating systems.
- Experience performing and validating software upgrades and updates provided by engineering teams.
- Proven ability to create, maintain, and recover system data backups.
- Experience working with network switches and routers, including applying basic network configurations.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain cybersecurity compliance through patching, implementing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements, and updating technical documentation.
- Experience with shipping and receiving large hardware servers and related equipment.
- Ability to provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to system users by telephone.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret or Top-Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.

Qualifications We Prefer
- Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with video processing, exploitation, and dissemination of feeds to multiple users at multiple sites.
- Experience in meeting with military customers and translating their requirements into program technical solutions.
- Maintaining customer account access to web portals.
- Experience in conducting site surveys to determine system requirements.
- Experience with SolarWinds or other network monitoring tools.
- Experience working in forward deployed locations with austere living and working conditions.
Special Work Conditions
- This position requires the ability to work extended hours, consisting of 12-hour shifts, 7 days per week, for up to 84 hours weekly.
- Personnel must be capable of performing in a high‑stress, high‑pressure military operational environment, ensuring supported systems meet continuous operational readiness requirements.
- Candidates must be willing and able to travel on short notice to remote, austere, and potentially hazardous locations, which may include harsh living conditions such as desert environments exceeding 120°F and/or areas that may involve heightened risk.
- Travel may be conducted via MILAIR, commercial aircraft, or ground transportation over rough, uneven, and unpredictable terrain.
- Candidates must meet CRC medical requirements and be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Physical requirements include the ability to climb ladders and lift, carry, and transport tools, cable reels, and computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
