Description
As an Engineer focused on AGV installation and commissioning, you ensure automated guided vehicle systems are brought into operation successfully at customer locations throughout Belgium. You handle the installation and configuration of onboard software, verify vehicle performance, and validate navigation, driving and lifting behaviour. During each implementation, you collaborate closely with specialists in mechatronics, safety, production, testing and service to support a reliable go-live.
Responsibilities
- Carry out the installation, commissioning, testing and go-live of automated vehicles within broader logistics automation projects.
- Set up system components and optimise vehicle settings in line with project-specific needs.
- Execute safety checks and coordinate functional, performance, SAT and FAC test activities.
- Apply customer-specific configurations, functions and operational requirements.
- Create driving routes, define material flows and parameterise tailored system functionality.
- Provide safety briefings, operator training, and practical guidance on troubleshooting and recovery procedures for end users.
- Maintain clear communication with the project manager regarding progress and on-site status.
馃摑 Your profile
- Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, preferably in Mechatronics or Industrial Automation.
- Relevant professional experience, ideally in automation environments such as AGVs, WMS platforms, material handling or warehouse automation.
- Solid knowledge of electronics, wiring diagrams, schematics, control systems and hydraulics.
- Basic programming skills, with experience in Git, Linux, Siemens S7 and Beckhoff IPC.
- Experience with integrations involving WMS, WCS or other control-layer software.
- Experience with AutoCAD and custom drafting tools for layout and system design.
- Strong communication skills in English and Dutch.
- Hands-on familiarity with ERP and issue-tracking tools, such as SAP and JIRA, is a plus.
- Willingness to travel and work on customer sites across Belgium during project delivery.
