Position Overview
The Production Helper supports packaging operations and reports to the Shift Supervisor. This entry-level role assists experienced production team members with material handling, packaging, inspection, and workplace safety activities. The position offers opportunities to learn additional production processes while ensuring quality, efficiency, and safe work practices.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist with weighing and handling raw materials for production.
Place finished goods and raw materials on pallets.
Hand-stack products and prepare shipments.
Inspect finished goods for damage or contamination.
Verify lot numbers on raw materials before packaging.
Support packaging of pouched hot melt products into boxes and containers.
Operate a forklift after training and qualification.
Follow safety procedures, wear required PPE, and maintain housekeeping standards.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and over 100 lbs with assistance.
Basic math, reading, and written/verbal communication skills.
Fundamental computer literacy.
Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
Preferred Requirements
Experience in manufacturing, packaging, warehousing, or material handling.
Forklift operation experience or certification.
Strong attention to detail in inspection and quality checks.
Eligibility to work in the location of employment and ability to work assigned shifts.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
