Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Employee Health RN, you will serve as a critical clinician, safeguarding the well-being of our dedicated staff and fostering a healthy, thriving workplace community through expert assessment and intervention.Every day you will deliver comprehensive occupational health services, including complex pre-employment screenings, immunizations, acute injury assessment and management, case management, and proactive health education for our employees.To be successful in this role you will combine advanced clinical expertise with exceptional organizational and critical thinking skills, a compassionate approach, and a proactive commitment to promoting the health and safety of our valued employees, ultimately contributing to a healthier and stronger organization.

  • Demonstrates setting priorities, problem solving and critical thinking and follows-through with clinical assigned job functions.
  • Demonstrates organizational skills in office management such as filing, trending and tracking data in a timely manner. Designs checklists, spreadsheets and forms as needed for department.
  • Maintains confidential employee files in a database and physical file with required elements present. Maintains PPD files for volunteers/contract staff.
  • Coordinates annual health exams/screens following protocols, with appropriate follow up on screening/test results as indicated.
  • Administers immunizations/vaccines for employees, volunteers and physicians. Tuberculosis skin tests, annually, and post exposure. Hepatitis B vaccine series. Flu vaccine.
  • Works in conjunction with the Infection Control Practitioner to ensure that employee exposures receive appropriate medical treatment and counseling, are documented and reported as required by OSHA mandates and policy.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduate of a Registered Nurse Program.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years combined experience in healthcare industry
  • AHA BLS Basic Life Support
  • CA RN license
  • Fire Safety, within 90 Days

Preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience with a minimum of1 year in area of related field. Experiencein placing and reading PPDs,administering flu shots and fit testing and other health care surveillance.
