JOB SUMMARY:
The Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track position in applied microeconomics at the Assistant Professor rank to begin in Fall 2027. Applicants should have strong research skills and expertise in one of the fields listed: Microeconomics, Public Economies, Health, Education and Welfare, Labor and Demographic Economics, Law and Economics, Industrial Economics, Energy, and Environmental Economics.
Applicants should submit a cover letter, CV, job market paper, copies of selected research papers, and graduate transcripts. Applicants should also arrange for three recommendation letters to be submitted.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
50% - Engaging in academic research and publishing in academic journals
40% - Teaching senior level / graduate courses in Applied Microeconomics
10% - Serving on department, college, and university committees
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level - - PhD in Economics or related field; ABD candidates will be considered but they should receive their Ph.D. by August 2027.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level - - PhD in Economics or related field
Years of Experience: 0-10
Specific Experience: Demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching or demonstrated potential for excellence
