Position Type: PRN / As Needed
Pay: $50–$53 per hour, depending on experience
Join Our Rehabilitation Team
Pleasant Hill Post Acute is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dependable Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis.
The PTA works under the direction of the supervising Physical Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitation services that promote mobility, independence, safety, and overall quality of life for our residents.
Position Responsibilities
Provide skilled physical therapy treatments and interventions as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
Assist residents in achieving individualized mobility and functional goals.
Complete timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.
Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment while following infection control and safety protocols.
Communicate regularly with the supervising Physical Therapist regarding resident progress, goals, changes in condition, discharge planning, and care coordination.
Collaborate with nursing and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Participate in Resident Care Conferences and rehabilitation meetings as needed.
Assist with training and support of Restorative Aides.
Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans, home exercise programs, safety techniques, fall prevention, and maintenance programs.
Assist with recommendations for durable medical equipment and adaptive equipment to promote resident safety and independence.
Provide staff education and in-service training as needed.
Report equipment concerns and help ensure rehabilitation equipment remains safe and functional.
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
Maintain strict confidentiality of resident and company information.
Develop positive and professional relationships with residents, families, coworkers, and healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program required.
Current California Physical Therapist Assistant license required.
Skilled nursing or post-acute rehabilitation experience preferred.
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
Dependable and flexible with the ability to work on an as-needed basis.
Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care.
