Rolleston Open Cut is a 16Mtpa thermal coal mine located in the southern Bowen Basin in Central Queensland. With a long life of mine and low operating costs, the mine has a bright outlook. Since 2005, we have grown to become one of the largest surface mines in Australia, whilst continuing to foster a culture underpinned by safety, achievement, flexibility and teamwork to improve the skills of each and every person on the mine site every day. About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced compliance and Assurance Coordinator (18 months-Fixed Term) to join our dynamic and successful team. As a valued member of the Health and Safety team and reporting directly to the Health and Safety Superintendent, you will be responsible for:
Coordinate and participate in site audit activities as required, including GCAA mandated assessments and verifications
Conduct verifications of site incident investigations and risk assessments
Analyse and report safety performance data as required by the HST Manager/ H&S Superintendent
Coordinate and schedule regular meetings to review health and safety performance against annual HST Plan
Coordinate and assist operational areas of Rolleston Coal complete critical control audits as per the agreed schedule.
Coordinate and facilitate risk assessments as required.
Coordinate and facilitate bowtie risk assessments as required.
Available to educate workers in the use of the Rolleston Safety and Health Management System and associated programs.
A critical contact point on site for the CMO;
Maintain document control and records as required
Implement processes and tools, provide system reports, maintain and update electronic information systems, distribute documents, and demonstrate accuracy of all documentation. Take all practical steps for regulatory procedures and changes are followed.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
The ability to work in high pressure and ambiguous environments and maintain confidentiality with regards to tasks is essential.
High level computer literacy, with experience in a similar role and Open-Cut Mining.
