Job description
Job Summary**
Responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and handling of materials within Hitachi, Ltd. facilities, ensuring production continuity and inventory accuracy.
Job Responsibilities**
* Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and packing lists.
* Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move materials to designated storage locations or production areas.
* Pick and stage materials for production lines, ensuring accurate quantities and timely delivery to meet manufacturing schedules.
* Perform regular inventory counts and maintain accurate records of material movement and stock levels using inventory management systems.
* Prepare materials for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and loading onto trucks or containers.
* Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues with materials.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
* Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including housekeeping and equipment maintenance.
Job Qualifications**
* Secondary school education or equivalent.
* Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment as a Material Handler.
* Proven ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (certification by Singapore approved training centers preferred).
* Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management systems.
* Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 15 kg).
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in material handling.
