POSITION SUMMARY

 Our housekeepers are responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. This role includes performing various cleaning tasks, ensuring high standards of sanitation and hygiene, and contributing to the overall well-being of our residents by creating a welcoming and orderly living space. Responsibilities include cleaning public and common areas, bathrooms, offices, and resident apartments, following established schedules, while interacting in a friendly and courteous manner to ensure resident and family member satisfaction.  Also, serving breakfast and lunch in our community restaurant. They are to help create an incredible dining experience, build relationships with residents, and consistently deliver the service a guest would expect in their favorite restaurant.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, and dining spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, and mirrors.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners.
• Replace linens, towels, and other textiles as needed.
• Follow the community cleaning schedule and protocol according to community guidelines and follow established safety precautions.
• Build positive relationships with residents by engaging in friendly, respectful interactions.
• Respect residents’ privacy and preferences while cleaning their living spaces.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety concerns, or resident needs changes to the supervisor.
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and according to instructions.
• Follow infection control and sanitation protocols, including the proper handling and disposal of waste.  
• Take food orders, summarize, and write tickets accurately and promptly. 
• Ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all residents, serving food and beverages with a smile.
• Maintain a clean dining and service area for all.
• Help with bussing tables at the end of food service.

Requirements

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

Education and certificates:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience, Competencies, and Skills:

• At least one (1) year of housekeeping experience in a senior living, healthcare, or hospitality setting (hotels) is required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Friendly and professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their uses, as well as cleaning equipment, is a plus.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
