Allied Universal is seeking Security Professional - Access Control in North York, ON.
Title: Security Professional - Access Control
Type: Full Time
Location: North York, ON
Payrate: $23.01.00 / hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 07:00AM to 07:00PM
Overview:
Allied Universal is currently hiring experienced Security Professional - Access Control for our operations in North York, ON. The ideal candidate will be a skilled and responsible professional with strong communication abilities and a willingness to work from various locations in North York, Markham & Etobicoke . This role also requires overseeing transportation needs, including driving a company vehicle between various site locations. The candidate should be comfortable handling logistics, ensuring the safe transport of materials or personnel, and maintaining security while on the move. If you have a background as a security guard, enjoy patrolling, and possess the ability to adapt to a variety of responsibilities, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Willingness to work from various locations in North York, Markham & Etobicoke
- Oversee operations within a data center environment, ensuring smooth day-to-day functions.
- Ensure the safe transport of materials and personnel while maintaining strict security standards during transit.
- Take charge of security-related duties on-site as needed, maintaining a secure and safe environment.
- Communicate professionally with staff, including site management and security teams
- Handle security incidents and emergencies calmly and efficiently
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth shift transitions and consistent security coverage
- Conduct regular patrols and site inspections to maintain security standards
Requirements:
- Willingness to work from various locations in North York, Markham & Etobicoke
- High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.
- Must have 1-2 years of experience in Mobile and Corporate Office Building.
- Must be 25 years of age or older due to company vehicle insurance requirements.
- Valid (G) Licence (Ontario), with a clean drivers abstract.
- Eligible to work in Canada for 40 hours a week, due to shift requirements.
- Must have 5 + years of residency in Canada to obtain site specific security clearance.
- Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
- First Aid/Cpr certification.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and use of computers.
- Ability to drive in all weather conditions, as patrols are required using company vehicles.
- Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 15 kilograms.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
