Job Description

As a Unarmed Security Officer Train Station in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a secure environment through professionalism, teamwork, and integrity while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, staff, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity through a professional presence and communicate clearly with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
