Provides clinical operations and supervisory leadership for diagnostic and orthopedic services across one large singular or multiple sites. Supervises day‑to‑day operations, staffing, and employee performance while ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality patient care and service delivery. Serves as the primary people supervisor for multidisciplinary teams and partners closely with orthopedic managers and clinical leaders to execute operational priorities. Facilitates and supervises ongoing department operations, including quality, service, fiscal, and human resources processes. Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in clinical or administrative practice operations within a healthcare setting
• Prior supervisory, team leadership, or management experience preferred
• Experience supporting diagnostic, radiology, orthopedic, or procedural administrative and/or clinical support services

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supervising multi‑site clinical operations or physician practice operations
• Experience leading cross‑disciplinary clinical and non‑clinical teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Orthopedics, Radiology, Business, or related field
• Orthopedic Technologist (Registered Orthopedic Technologist) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification preferred

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience in lieu of degree

Certification Summary

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Job Responsibilities

• Supervises daily operations across large singular or multiple clinical sites to ensure effective patient flow, clinic readiness, and consistent service delivery.
• Acts as knowledge resource for orthopedic patients. Maintains ability to assist with care.
• Provides direct supervision for clinical and non-clinical staff members across multiple job families, including registration associates, orthopedic technologists, and radiologic technologists.
• Responsible for all aspects of managing and leading a team including: interviewing, hiring, training, developing, directing work and processes, managing performance, recognizing, and rewarding employees. Provides supervisory oversight of diagnostic and orthopedic clinical operations regardless of incumbent’s individual clinical background.
• Oversees staffing and scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage and operational continuity across sites.
• Serves as the primary escalation point for site‑level operational and staffing issues and supports service recovery as needed.
• Ensures staff adherence to organizational policies, clinical protocols, safety standards, and patient experience expectations.
• Supports regulatory readiness, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety activities.
• Partners with managers, clinical leaders, and system stakeholders to implement operational initiatives, process improvements, and system changes.
• Communicates operational priorities, expectations, and changes clearly to staff and ensures consistent execution.
• Provides onboarding and continued support to providers, e.g., schedules, clinic initiatives, and staff concerns at assigned locations.
• Serves as supervisor‑on‑duty or site lead as assigned.
