As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials and badges, monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal team that delivers through teamwork and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access credentials, maintain visitor records, and direct individuals to appropriate loading, receiving, and office areas.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report unusual activity, damaged access control equipment, and potential hazards while maintaining accurate logs and incident documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
