For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills: 

  • University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (mandatory)
  • 5-10 years years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQLServer in production environments
  • Grasp in SQLServer installation and configuration, Always-On Availability Groups and FCI operations
  • Proven track record in incident management, production support and performance tuning
  • Deep Azure platform expertise across Azure SQL, Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, Azure Monitor, Azure Event Hub, and Azure Alerts (mandatory)
  • Strong T-SQL and PowerShell scripting skills: proficient in execution plan analysis, query tuning, and UrbanCode Deploy-driven release execution
  • Understanding of SQL and PostgreSQL
  • Proven ability to independently lead incident resolution, produce root cause analysis, and maintain audit-quality documentation across the full DBA lifecycle
  • Holder of Azure Database Administrator Certification is a plus and Microsoft SQLServer Certifications are valued
  • Familiarity with Jira and DBeaver 
  • Fluency in English (C1 Level)
  • Availability for hybrid model, 2x/week, based in Parque das Nações (Lisbon)
  • Based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit
