[What the role is]
ASSISTANT ENGINEER, PLATFORM ADMINISTRATION (RAIL DIGITALISATION)[What you will be working on]
The Rail Digitalisation & Guild (Sub-group) is a cross-functional and multidisciplinary team established to drive and deliver Authority’s Railway Common Data Platforms (CDPs), which includes data analytics and artificial intelligence capabilities to support railway performance throughout the Planning, Design, Build, Operation, Maintenance and Asset Management processes.
These initiatives are envisioned to improve operational efficiency, strengthen system reliability, support better decision-making and enhance commuter experience.
Your key responsibilities will include:
User Administration: Manage user onboarding and offboarding, maintain user roles/permissions/security groups for the Authority’s CDPs based on standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Feedback & Communications: Monitor and manage user feedback, ensuring timely and professional responses.
Incident & Problem Management: Provide first and second level support for application incidents. Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
Asset & License Tracking: Maintain accurate, up-to-date inventories of the team's fixed assets and software licenses.
Financial & Procurement Management: Monitor expenditure requests against allocated budgets, track actual spending, and manage the end-to-end procurement of platform and software goods and services.
Documentation & Correspondence: Draft, format, and generate official documentation, including internal memos, Purchase Requisitions (PRs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and standard corporate letters.
You will also have opportunities to contribute to strategic initiatives and respond to emerging priorities. You will serve as a central coordination point for the team, working closely with multiple stakeholders and playing an important role in enabling efficient operations and successful project delivery.
[What we are looking for]
Qualifications and Experience
Knowledge in Engineering or Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in a platform or software maintenance duties, ideally within a technical or project-driven environment.
Experience with basic budget tracking, procurement processes, and vendor management will be an advantage
Comfortable using AI tools and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
