Digital Infrastructure & Operations Specialist (m/f/d)

Key responsibilities:

• EU Equipment Deployment & Rollout – Coordinate and execute the deployment of digital equipment across 30+ European Service Centres, ensuring timely installation, consistent configuration, and alignment with global standards.
• Installation & Technical Support – Partner closely with Service Centre teams and external providers to deliver seamless equipment installations, provide hands-on technical support, and develop practical solutions for unique site requirements.
• Infrastructure Operations & Maintenance – Oversee the operational performance of digital infrastructure, implementing preventative maintenance activities to maximize uptime, reliability, and equipment lifecycle.
• Technical Documentation & Standards – Contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of equipment standards, connectivity guidelines, and operational procedures, ensuring documentation remains accurate and scalable.
• Data Quality & Compliance – Monitor equipment data performance and connectivity across Service Centres, driving corrective actions and ensuring compliance with established data quality and reporting standards.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication – Act as a primary point of contact for Service Centre Operations, IT teams, and business stakeholders, providing transparent updates and proactively managing risks and issues.
• Asset & Performance Visibility – Maintain accurate equipment inventories and operational status tracking, supporting visibility of infrastructure health, data availability, and site performance across Europe.
• Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence – Support evolving business needs by identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen operational resilience, and enhance the effectiveness of digital infrastructure services.
• Service Desk & SLA Performance – Own digital infrastructure alerts and tickets end to end across our ITSM and monitoring platforms (currently ManageEngine and DataDog) — triaging pages, tracking fault progress, maintaining accurate records, and resolving or escalating within agreed SLA response times.

We expect:

• Educational Background – Technical qualification or degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
• Extensive European Travel – Willingness to work hands-on and on-site, travelling up to 50% of your time across our European network, including the UK and Turkey, sometimes at short notice.
• Digital Infrastructure & Deployment Experience – Proven experience in digital equipment deployment, IT operations, or infrastructure rollouts within a multi-site operational environment, consistently delivering projects to a high standard.
• Operational & Site-Based Expertise – Hands-on experience working in service centres, logistics facilities, manufacturing environments, or comparable operational settings across Europe.
• IoT & Connectivity Knowledge – Solid understanding of IoT devices, wireless technologies, RFID, barcode scanning solutions, data transmission, and operational IT infrastructure.
• Technical Problem Solving – Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities with the ability to identify, analyse, and resolve equipment, connectivity, and infrastructure issues both remotely and on-site.
• Stakeholder Collaboration – Demonstrated ability to work effectively with Operations, IT teams, service providers, and external partners across multiple countries and diverse cultural environments.
• Cabling & Hardware Skills – Practical experience terminating, testing, and maintaining structured cabling using hand tools, with larger works commissioned to approved contractors.
• Communication & Language Skills – Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to different audiences; fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.
