In this role, you’ll assist with a variety of maintenance and service activities, operate tools and equipment, help maintain City facilities and infrastructure, and work alongside an experienced team. - Mows grass, trims trees and shrubs, maintains medians and flower beds, and collects litter.
- Operates various equipment, power tools, and hand tools in the performance of job duties; performs preventative and corrective maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
- Assists with mosquito control, fertilization and weed control, and irrigation installation, maintenance, and repairs as needed.
- Assists Fleet and Facilities departments as needed and assists with special events and installation of Christmas decorations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: No direct supervision exercised.
- Valid driver’s license
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in general grounds maintenance, litter removal, operating commercial mowers and trimmers, or related field preferred.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Indoor and outdoor environments, exposure to environmental hazards and chemicals.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, crouch, lift, push, pull, climb, operate, and carry equipment.
- Work on-call or extended hours.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
