Base Location: Ireland - Nationwide
This is an on-the-road role, travelling to assigned patient locations across the wider region.
This is a bank (relief) position with a competitive hourly rate/Pay scale, working on a flexible basis depending on business needs. Shifts are available Monday to Sunday between 7:30am and 9:30pm.
The Role:
With a genuine passion for improving patient care, you will be an enthusiastic and experienced registered nurse. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently while remaining part of a wider integrated team.
In this flexible bank role, you will support service delivery by covering patient care needs across multiple locations. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality care, delivering treatments in home or community settings, and contributing to a seamless patient experience.
Responsibilities
Cannulation & Phlebotomy – essential
Administration and education of subcutaneous therapies
IV administration therapies in home or community settings
Maintain full compliance with company policies and procedures
Complete electronic nursing records accurately and in a timely manner
Report adverse events, product complaints and clinical incidents as per policy
Demonstrate strong communication and relationship-building skills
Work independently while contributing to a wider team
Show flexibility and adaptability to changing schedules and locations
Maintain high standards of time management and clinical judgement
Travel to patient locations as required
Candidate Requirements
Active An Bord Altranais nursing registration
2-3 years post-registration experience in acute or community settings
Strong experience in cannulation and phlebotomy
Interest in community-based nursing
Full clean driver’s licence and access to own car (essential)
Willingness to travel across assigned regions
Basic IT skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and time management abilities
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
