As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a highly visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to government property, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding incidents, patrols, inspections, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Possess a DD214 with an Honorable Discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
