The Opportunity

As the PX Governance & Portfolio Analyst, you will enable effective decision-making across Genentech’s Patient Experience (PX) portfolio by maintaining a consolidated, enterprise-wide view of initiatives, investments, and performance. What you can expect in this role at Genentech:

  • Maintain a consolidated view of the enterprise PX portfolio, tracking milestones, dependencies, risks, and post-launch integrations.

  • Develop high-standard governance materials that synthesize complex cross-functional inputs into clear strategic narratives and trade-off recommendations for senior leadership.

  • Maintain and evolve the central PX investment framework, aggregating financial, capacity, and resource data to monitor actuals against planned investments.

  • Surface cross-initiative gaps, overlaps, and risks across teams to enable proactive alignment and execution of the enterprise PX roadmap.

  • Consolidate performance data across PX initiatives to support KPI tracking, outcomes measurement, and value stories that demonstrate impact.

  • Support the day-to-day operations of PX governance forums, ensuring clear agendas, robust documentation, and execution tracking across stakeholders.

Who you are

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a required discipline (MBA or advanced degree preferred).

  • Bring 4-7 years of professional experience in strategy, portfolio management, finance, or a related field.

  • Demonstrate professional experience within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related industry.

  • Possess foundational experience in financial analysis, resource planning, or investment tracking with strong attention to detail.

  • Show a proven ability to synthesize complex inputs, manage cross-functional dependencies, and communicate effectively with senior leadership.

Preferred

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or advanced degree in a business or quantitative discipline.

  • Direct experience supporting commercial or patient-centric portfolio governance in a matrixed biotech/pharma environment.

  • Advanced capability with portfolio analytics tools, financial modeling, and executive-level dashboard creation.

Location

  • This role is based in South San Francisco and offers a hybrid schedule working 3 days per week on campus

  • No relocation benefits are available for this posting

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of CA is $130,800 - 243,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
