Project Manager, Rakuten Rebates - EC Expansion Development Department (ECEXD)

Rebates Development Section is a tech organization under EC Expansion Development Department (ECEXD). As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading to deliver the projects of Rebates. This is a great chance for project manager to be involved in many types of e-commerce related service project management, building new system or enhancing the functionality of our service by utilizing the latest technologies.

This position requires 4-6+ years of experience in project management in software development and familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of tasks. Lead and direct the work of other team members. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

As we're accelerating development to add new features and improve our service, we need dedicated project management talent to be part of our project and make great contributions together.

Project management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress, risk and issues of project. Prepare reports for management regarding status of project.

The successful candidate will work directly with stakeholders to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. He or she will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible.

・ Plan the Project (Setting the Goal, Planning for the Milestone and Critical Path, Planning for the internal/external Project Dependency, Planning for Test and Release, Planning for Budget, Creating the Schedule)

・ Deliver the Project and Manage the Progress (Judgement and Decision Making, Process Management, Task Tracking, Quality Management, Budget and Cost Management, Change Management)

・ Manage the Communication (Stakeholder Management, Facilitation for the Project Members Communication, Reporting)

・ Risk management

・ Issue management and problem solving

・ Project Management Best Practices Improvement

・ 4-6+ years of Software Development experience as main project manager (Project with 10+ project members)

・ Software Development Technology knowledge

・ Strong Leadership skills

・ Excellence in Issues and Risk Management

・ Decision Making and Problem-Solving skills

・ Excellence in Communication skills, capable to minimize communication gap between stakeholders

・ Excellence in reporting, presentation & meeting facilitation

・ Expert in Jira/ Confluence and other Project management Tools

・ Fast learner with Positive leadership mindset

・ Strong ‘commitment’ mindset for leading project to completion

・ Experience in working directly with software engineers, product managers, and business partners

・ Project Management certified (e.g. PMP)

・ Program management experience

・ Experience as a Software Developer
