  • Monitor compliance with approved means of egress, compartmentation, fire stopping, smoke-control strategies, occupant evacuation requirements, emergency access provisions, and passive fire protection installations.

  • Witness inspections, integrated systems testing, fire alarm cause-and-effect testing, smoke-control testing, functional testing, and commissioning activities.

  • Coordinate with Civil Defense authorities, specialist fire consultants, operators, and commissioning teams to support inspections, approvals, operational readiness, and occupancy certification.

  • Monitor construction quality through regular inspections, identify non-conforming works, and coordinate corrective actions with the Contractor and QA/QC team.

  • Support the Resident Engineer in evaluating variations, technical issues, engineering clarifications, and site instructions related to fire protection and life safety systems.

  • Participate in snagging, de-snagging, substantial completion inspections, handover activities, and Defects Liability Period inspections.

  • Review as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, fire-system testing records, commissioning documentation, warranties, and handover records for completeness and compliance.

  • Prepare technical reports, inspection records, progress updates, and recommendations for submission to the Resident Engineer and Project Management team.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

  • Professional Engineer, Chartered Engineer, Certified Fire Protection Specialist, or equivalent professional registration is preferred.

  • Minimum 12 years of experience supervising fire protection and life safety systems on major hospitality, entertainment, mixed-use, or destination developments.

  • Demonstrated experience in Construction Supervision or Resident Engineering roles on large multidisciplinary projects.

  • Proven experience supervising fire and life safety systems for major public assembly buildings, entertainment venues, theme parks, integrated resorts, convention facilities, airports, or other complex high-occupancy developments.

  • Strong understanding of crowd movement, occupant evacuation principles, emergency response planning, integrated systems testing, testing and commissioning, and operational readiness requirements.

  • Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary stakeholders, including Contractors, specialist fire consultants, attraction vendors, operators, Civil Defense authorities, commissioning teams, and statutory authorities.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to identify fire and life safety risks, engineering conflicts, and practical site solutions.

  • Excellent communication, coordination, reporting, and stakeholder-management skills.
