Description

The snapshot

Staffstream is hiring a Draftsperson (CabMaster Specialist) for an Australian joinery and construction business that delivers bespoke, high-end joinery and cabinetry for luxury residential, premium commercial, and retail clients. The business operates right at the top end of the market, where material quality, precision, and finish standard are simply non-negotiable.

This is a genuinely execution-first role. You won't be doing conceptual design, that sits with the design team. Instead, you'd take detailed instructions and design intent and turn them into precise, production-ready CabMaster documentation, working to demanding project timelines. If you love focused, high-accuracy drafting work and don't need creative input to do your best work, this is built for you. This role is open to candidates based in the Philippines.

What you will actually do

CabMaster drawing production and editing

  • Produce, amend, and edit joinery drawings within CabMaster to the specifications and instructions provided by the design team, making sure dimensions, materials, hardware, and construction details are accurately captured and production ready.
  • Make detailed amendments to existing CabMaster files as designs evolve, applying changes accurately, maintaining file integrity, and flagging any discrepancies or buildability issues to the design team before they reach production.
  • Produce drawing tasks as directed, including individual components, modified modules, and variations, without needing conceptual input or design guidance beyond what's provided.

Drawing conversion and migration

  • Convert drawings from other CAD platforms and formats into CabMaster, maintaining design intent, dimensional accuracy, and material specifications throughout.
  • Rebuild or redraft externally produced drawings within CabMaster, making sure the output is fully functional and ready for internal production and manufacturing workflows.

Design team collaboration and instruction management

  • Receive and interpret detailed drafting instructions from the design team, absorbing briefs efficiently, asking the right clarifying questions, and executing accurately without needing repeated direction.
  • Collaborate closely with designers and production staff to make sure drawings reflect the latest design intent, communicating proactively when changes are needed and keeping the team informed of drawing status and technical constraints.
  • Maintain clear version control and file management across all CabMaster documentation, so the design and production teams are always working from the correct, most current version.

Quality, accuracy, and production readiness

  • Review all drawings for technical accuracy, buildability, and completeness before submission, applying the level of quality control expected on premium and luxury joinery projects.
  • Make sure every piece of documentation is genuinely production-ready, understanding that inaccurate or incomplete drawings have real, direct consequences for manufacturing cost, timeline, and finish quality on high-value projects.

File management and production support

  • Maintain an organized, well-structured CabMaster file library across all active and completed projects, with consistent naming so files are easy to find and use.
  • Support the design and production team with additional drafting and documentation tasks as required, adapting to the varying demands of a pipeline spanning luxury fit outs, retail environments, and bespoke residential joinery.

What you need to bring

  • Advanced, hands-on CabMaster proficiency. This is non-negotiable and the primary basis for selection: you need deep, practical experience within the platform across complex joinery drawing tasks.
  • A demonstrated ability to convert non-CabMaster drawings from other CAD platforms into functional CabMaster files, maintaining accuracy, design intent, and production readiness throughout.
  • A proven track record of receiving and executing detailed drafting instructions accurately and efficiently, absorbing direction well, and delivering production-ready documentation without extensive revision.
  • Strong attention to dimensional accuracy, material specification, and construction detail, with a real understanding of what these elements mean in high-end physical manufacture.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a design and production team, able to communicate technical constraints clearly and respond well to changing design direction.
  • A technically precise approach: your drawings should be accurate, complete, and production-ready without needing to be checked and sent back.
  • A high personal standard: you understand what luxury joinery requires and hold your own work to that bar without being prompted.

Nice to have

  • Background in luxury commercial fit out, premium retail joinery, or high-end residential work, where you've been exposed to the standards, tolerances, and client expectations of the upper end of the joinery market.
  • Experience with other CAD platforms such as AutoCAD or Revit, alongside CabMaster, which helps when converting externally sourced drawings.
  • Familiarity with joinery hardware systems, material specifications, and manufacturing tolerances applicable to premium cabinetry and joinery.
  • Experience working within a workshop or manufacturing environment, with a real understanding of how drawings translate into physical production.

The setup

  • This role is open to Philippines-based candidates.
  • Fully remote, working full Australian business hours
  • Staffstream provides your work-from-home equipment.

What's in it for you

A stable, full-time role with a business that genuinely needs you and wants you to grow into it. You'd be trusted to own your area, not micromanaged, working with a small team that values someone who can take things off their plate and run with them.
On top of that, Staffstream looks after you properly:
  • HMO health cover, with one dependent covered for free.
  • Group life insurance.
  • Paid leave credits.
  • Work-from-home equipment provided.
You're employed compliantly under Philippine law: a proper local employment contract, your taxes handled correctly, and all your government-mandated benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) plus 13th month pay. That means real security and peace of mind, not a loose freelance arrangement. Everything is above board and looked after for you.
