Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Incident Response in Dorchester, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. You will provide exceptional customer service, clear communication, and support for personnel and visitors while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or utility operations personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, operational areas, access points, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required logs and documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Report hazards, unusual conditions, suspicious activity, and security-related incidents according to established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
