Fractional Donor Data Specialist / Salesforce Administrator | Remote · $35–50/hour
About the Role
This role puts one person at the center of the data operation for three to four nonprofit fundraising teams at once, keeping Salesforce clean and each organization's fundraising process running the way it should. The work blends CRM management with client-facing consulting, since the specialist meets regularly with each team to review priorities, fix data issues, and keep fundraisers focused on the right donors. Training includes a proprietary fundraising methodology that this person will help each client implement and sustain.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management
- Meet regularly with each organization's fundraising team to review priorities, data needs, open issues, and next steps
- Support the implementation and ongoing management of the company's proprietary fundraising process
- Monitor each client's use of the process and help ensure required activities, follow-up, and reporting are completed consistently
Data & Salesforce Management
- Maintain clean, complete, and accurate donor, contact, account, donation, and prospect records
- Manage ongoing data hygiene, including duplicates, incomplete records, inconsistent formatting, and incorrect categorization
- Support fundraisers with Salesforce usage, troubleshooting, and best practices
- Build and maintain reports, dashboards, donor lists, and prospect segments
- Ensure donor calls, emails, meetings, tasks, and follow-up activities are properly tracked
Process & Documentation
- Help clients establish consistent processes for data entry, activity tracking, and donor management
- Create simple process documentation and Salesforce user guides
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, workflows, reporting, and fundraising execution
- Provide fundraisers with the data needed to prioritize outreach and follow up consistently
Qualifications
- Strong experience using Salesforce, preferably within a fundraising environment
- Experience with Salesforce NPSP or ChabadOne is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage priorities and responsibilities across multiple organizations
- Comfortable leading regular client meetings and communicating with fundraising professionals
- Able to explain technical systems and data issues clearly to nontechnical users
- Proactive, process-driven, responsive, and capable of working independently
- Willing and able to learn a structured proprietary fundraising methodology
