South Florida Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Fluoroscopy Procedure Suite on a part-time basis (20–25 hours per week).


Working under the direction of a licensed physician, the Procedural Nurse provides safe, compassionate nursing care before, during, and after non-invasive fluoroscopy procedures. This position is responsible for patient assessment and monitoring, procedural assistance, medication administration, documentation, and maintaining a safe, efficient procedure suite.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.

• Assist physicians during fluoroscopy procedures while maintaining patient safety and sterile technique.

• Prepare patients for procedures and provide post-procedure care and education.

• Administer medications and monitor patient response.

• Prepare and sterilize procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment.

• Maintain inventory of clinical supplies.

• Complete accurate EMR documentation.

• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient care.

• Comply with OSHA, HIPAA, infection prevention, and patient safety standards.

• Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements

• Current Florida RN or LPN license   

• Current ACLS certification

• Hands-on experience in a hospital, surgery center, pain management, orthopedic, or comparable outpatient setting, and assisting with procedural or minor surgical cases, including pre- and post-procedure care, and with sterile technique and medication preparation, is helpful

• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills


Technical Requirements

• Proficiency with EMR systems (NextGen preferred)

• Knowledge of outpatient procedural nursing, sterile technique, and medication administration

• Strong computer and documentation skills

• Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and infection prevention standards

• Ability to operate standard clinical equipment and autoclave sterilizers


Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and assist with patient positioning

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

• Manual dexterity and visual acuity required to safely perform nursing duties

• Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
