Job Summary:
The Vice President, AI and Control Automation Lead, is a critical leadership role responsible for driving the strategy, development, and execution of data-driven control automation and advanced AI initiatives. This role serves as a recognized technical authority, translating complex business problems into scalable, governed AI and automated systems. The ideal candidate will lead teams to deliver these solutions into production, requiring a blend of deep technical expertise in both traditional data analytics and modern AI, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills to ensure robust risk management, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities & Impacts:
Strategic Leadership & AI Strategy:
- Represent the USCC Controls Automation team, leading complex control-related and AI-driven business projects from conception to implementation.
- Define the overarching AI architecture and strategy, owning reference architectures, design patterns, and technology roadmaps for AI adoption that align with enterprise standards.
- Drive multi-faceted System of Records (SOR) migrations impacting hundreds of jobs, coordinating seamlessly with Technology and Operations partners.
- Collaborate strategically with AIM partners to ensure successful completion and implementation of all automation projects.
Advanced Technical Solution Design & Delivery:
- Architect and deliver enterprise AI solutions end-to-end, from problem framing and feasibility through to build, integration, and production deployment.
- Leverage expert-level proficiency in SQL, Advanced SAS, EDW, Big Data, Oracle, and other analytical tools within a UNIX environment to perform sophisticated risk, financial, and data analyses.
- Design and implement agentic and multi-agent AI systems, defining orchestration patterns, tool integration, and human-in-the-loop decision points.
- Establish prompt and context engineering as a formal discipline, creating reusable pipelines, evaluation frameworks, and retrieval patterns (RAG) to improve reliability.
- Architect robust infrastructure solutions, demonstrating a deep understanding of CyberArk FID architecture and NDM processes to support a scalable and secure automation environment.
Governance, Risk & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Embed AI risk, control, and governance by design, leading model risk assessments, implementing guardrails, and ensuring auditability to deliver validation-ready solutions.
- Develop compelling proposals and effectively communicate complex data insights, AI architectures, and strategic recommendations to senior management to secure alignment and approvals.
- Lead discussions in audit reviews and regulatory forums, engaging effectively with Quality Control, Operations, Technology, and Risk partners.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on both control automation and AI capabilities.
Mentorship & Team Development:
- Lead, mentor, and scale engineering teams by setting high engineering standards for both data analytics and AI development.
- Provide direct leadership to junior team members, fostering their technical growth in both traditional analytics and modern AI design patterns.
- Guide senior engineers on advanced AI design and structure project delivery for growth from proof-of-concept to enterprise scale.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 10+ years in technology delivery, including 3+ years of proven experience designing and shipping production-grade AI/GenAI solutions.
- AI Technical Expertise: Hands-on depth in agentic frameworks, LLM orchestration, prompt and context engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
- Data & Analytics Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in SQL, Advanced SAS, EDW, Big Data, Oracle, and other analytical tools within a UNIX environment.
- Infrastructure Knowledge: Deep understanding of CyberArk FID architecture and NDM processes.
- Enterprise Delivery: Proven track record of delivering complex technical solutions within a large, regulated enterprise.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong stakeholder communication, influencing skills, and demonstrated team leadership and mentorship capabilities.
