Raytheon’s Global Patriot Program is seeking an experienced Associate Director, Logistics Support Management to lead the OCONUS Bahrain team and oversee comprehensive logistics support for the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF). You will address all matters related to Patriot system operations and maintenance, contract execution, Raytheon personnel, and emerging business opportunities.

 

This role serves as the senior in‑country leader for Patriot system support and sustainment in Bahrain, representing Raytheon while partnering closely with the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF), the U.S. Office of Military Cooperation (OMC), and CONUS‑based teams. The position oversees all field engineering personnel, drives logistics and maintenance readiness, and ensures full compliance with program standards and regulatory requirements.

 

This accompanied onsite role will be in Manama, Bahrain on a long-term deployment assignment with a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with additional compensation and potential extensions.

 

Employment is contingent upon meeting all medical requirements for overseas assignments including comprehensive post-offer medical examination.   

 

What You Will Do

 

Leadership & Representation


  • Serve as the principal country authority for Patriot system support, maintenance, and sustainment.
  • Ensure alignment between Raytheon, the Bahrain Defense Force, and program objectives.
  • Engage senior stakeholders to communicate program status, strategic direction, and emerging priorities.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with OMC Bahrain and BDF leadership to support mission execution.
  • Model and enforce Raytheon’s Code of Conduct and professional standards.

 

Team Oversight & Development


  • Lead, supervise, and mentor Raytheon Field Engineering personnel.
  • Build a high‑performing, collaborative team in a dynamic environment embracing Raytheon’s standards of conduct.
  • Strengthening staff capabilities in business acumen, financial management, and project management.

 

Logistics & Sustainment Management 


  • Serve as the Logistics Support Manager to the BDF, ensuring availability of manuals, spare parts, test equipment, and staffing to support Fire Unit and Battalion operations.
  • Oversee spare parts supply, restocking cycles, inventory accuracy, and resolution of logistics challenges.
  • Provide expert guidance to supported units to establish, manage, and maintain proper stockage levels essential for system readiness.
  • Support periodic inventories, advise on disposition of excess materials, and recommend updates to the Authorized Stockage List (ASL).
  • Coordinate with CONUS supply chain teams to procure materials, equipment, consumables, and tools required for sustainment operations.

 

Customer Advisement


  • Advise BDF commanders and officers on maintenance strategies, spares management, and logistics practices driving Patriot system readiness.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and key interface ensuring alignment across all parties.

 

Training & Capability Development


  • Deliver On‑the‑Job Training (OJT) to BDF technicians on support and sustainment functions required during Patriot operations.
  • Foster knowledge sharing, transparent communication, and cross‑functional teamwork.

 

Program Operations & Compliance


  • Oversee daily program operations and ensure adherence to program management standards.
  • Maintain full compliance with Export/Import (EX/IM) requirements and all associated regulatory controls.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by developing and implementing efficiency‑enhancing projects and processes.

 

Travel Requirements


  • International and domestic business travel is necessary.

 

Special Work Conditions

 

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work in an extreme environment.

 

Qualifications You Must Have

 

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 12+ years’ prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10+ years’ experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting logistics operations for a successfully deployed Patriot Fire Unit and Battalion, with strong understanding of air defense sustainment requirements.
  • Proven experience executing supply support procedures in remote or OCONUS environments, ensuring adherence to company policies and maintaining operational readiness.
  • Background supporting compliance activities, including audits, logbook reviews, and management of maintenance test equipment to ensure accuracy, accountability, and system reliability.
  • Experience managing, guiding, and developing geographically dispersed teams, fostering cohesive performance, communication, and mission alignment across multiple locations.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

 

Qualifications We Prefer

 

  • Bachelors in program management, business management, contracts, supply chain, or related field.
  • Proven experience building, developing, and leading teams in OCONUS environments, specifically within the MENA region.
  • Demonstrated success working closely with U.S. government organizations and directly supporting Bahrain Defense Force stakeholders.
  • Experience creating and executing sustainment strategies, including technical assistance, spare parts management, repair and return (R&R), training, and logistics support.
  • Strong understanding of Patriot Configuration III supply chain, maintenance processes, and system terminology.
  • Background supporting international Patriot FMS programs, with knowledge of related policies, procedures, and customer expectations.
  • Hands‑on experience working with military logistics systems and supply chain processes in support of operational readiness.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across global environment and lead effectively in international, cross‑functional team environments.
  • Advanced computer skills, including experience with ALCS, UNIX, and Windows operating systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively in both team‑based and customer‑facing environments.
  • Solid comprehension of foundational computer skills and digital tools.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
