POSITION SUMMARY
The Coordinator will ensure day-to-day activities at the assigned program site, organize programmatic activities, and work closely with supervisors to achieve grant project outcomes. The Coordinator will serve as the point person between the school and the Director/Associate Director and in collaboration with Student Advocates. This position requires an outgoing, approachable and self-motivated individual with a passion for assisting students from underrepresented groups.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Partner individually with students through targeted mentorship to build self-direction and actionable paths toward future goals.
Track and evaluate all student contact and program activities
Implement recruitment and retention efforts within each high school
Facilitate programming with the assistance of other LPP professionals.
Foster and maintain relationships with high school administrative team and staff.
Functioning as a representative for the LPP program.
Handling other duties as assigned

Performs a variety of related duties as assigned.
Possessing and maintaining a valid New York State driver’s license
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field required
Master’s Degree preferred
NYS Teaching Certification preferred
An interest in, and commitment to, academic achievement in high school students
Experience working with high school students in an academic or equivalent environment
An understanding of and comfort with culturally diverse populations
Excellent written and oral communication skills-
A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; general computer knowledge required
Flexibility and adaptability are essential
Willingness to work occasional non-traditional hours
Additional Information:
Pay Range: $20.00 per hour
