Description
Our client - is an early-stage FinTech company building a new technology platform in the payments and card acquiring space.
The company is currently at the beginning of its journey, which also means something quite valuable for the people joining now: there is no large organisation, layers of processes or a legacy way of doing things you simply have to follow. You will be working on green-field projects with no legacy baggage.
Now the company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys autonomy, is comfortable making technical decisions and wants to take real ownership of what they build.
You'll join a small, highly experienced team and work on building the technology behind a new payments business.
This is not a role where someone will hand you perfectly defined tickets and tell you exactly how to implement them.
You'll be expected to understand the problem, make sensible technical decisions and take responsibility for delivering the result.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build reliable backend systems and services;
- Solve engineering problems within the payments and FinTech domain;
- Make technical and architectural decisions as the platform evolves;
- Take ownership of your work from problem to production;
work closely with other senior team members across engineering and business; - Contribute to shaping engineering practices as the team grows;
Requirements:
- Have solid experience as a Backend Engineer;
- Know your way around a Kubernetes environment and modern DevOps workflows;
- Have previous experience in FinTech, payments, card acquiring or banking;
- Are comfortable working independently and taking ownership of your work;
- Can take an ambiguous problem and move it forward yourself;
- Take responsibility for your own commitments and delivery;
- Communicate clearly and collaborate well in a small team;
