Senior Fund Accounting & Operations Manager – Digital Assets

About the Position

Lead the fund finance and operations function of an established crypto investment firm, work directly with senior leadership, and have genuine scope to grow into a broader leadership role.

This is a senior, hands-on role with broad responsibility across fund accounting, NAVs, reconciliations, investor reporting and financial reporting, as well as managing relationships with fund administrators, auditors, custodians and banks.

You will also have exposure to crypto and digital asset operations, including custody, wallet operations, AML/KYC and operational controls. Working closely with senior leadership and the investment team, you will have significant autonomy and the opportunity to make a visible impact within a small, entrepreneurial environment.

The role is ideal for someone with strong fund accounting and crypto operations experience who enjoys being hands-on, wants broad responsibility and is looking to progress into a wider leadership position.

Qualifications

• Strong experience within hedge funds, alternative investments or open-ended funds
• Proven experience in crypto / digital assets, ideally within a fund environment
• Strong technical knowledge of fund accounting, NAV production and financial reporting
• Experience managing fund administrators, auditors, custodians and other external service providers
• Understanding of investor capital activity, subscriptions/redemptions and management fee calculations
• Experience with crypto custody, wallet operations, digital asset settlements and reconciliations
• Strong understanding of AML/KYC, operational controls and regulatory requirements
• Hands-on and commercially minded, with the ability to operate independently in a lean environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work directly with senior leadership

Experience

• Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or a related discipline. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA or CFA are advantageous.
• Experience: Ideally 8–15 years’ experience across fund accounting, fund operations and/or fund finance, with the seniority to take responsibility while remaining hands-on.
• Industry: Strong preference for candidates from hedge funds, alternative investment managers or fund administrators. Open-ended fund experience is particularly relevant.
• Crypto / Digital Assets: Proven experience working with crypto or digital assets, ideally within a fund or through servicing crypto fund clients. Exposure to custody, wallets, settlements and digital asset operations is highly desirable.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of NAV, reconciliations, investor activity, management fees, financial reporting and audit.
• Operational Expertise: Experience working with fund administrators, auditors, custodians, banks and other external service providers, with an understanding of AML/KYC and operational controls.
• Transferable Skills: Able to work across both finance and operations, solve problems independently and manage a broad range of responsibilities in a lean environment.
• Personal Attributes: Hands-on, commercially minded, proactive and highly autonomous, with the confidence to make decisions and operate independently.
• Leadership: Comfortable leading a broad middle/back-office function and potentially managing a small team, while remaining involved in day-to-day execution.
• Environment: Experience in a small, entrepreneurial or high-growth environment is advantageous, particularly for candidates who enjoy autonomy, responsibility and career progression.

Compensation

S$132,000 – S$156,000 per annum, with genuine career progression and the opportunity to take on greater responsibility and grow into a broader leadership role within the firm.
