Salary range: $50,960 to $68,486 annually


Meeting Street is currently looking for a Social Worker for 30 hours per week. 


Duties:

  • Uses approved instruments to provide developmental screening within their native language, assessment and evaluation for children birth to three years of age as part of a multidisciplinary team to determine eligibility.
  • Demonstrates competence in interpreting results of screening and evaluation in terms of the child’s functional capabilities with an emphasis on self-help skills, fine and gross motor development, mobility, sensory integration, behavior, play and oral-motor functioning and explains results to families in a mindful manner incorporating health literacy.
  • Creates adaptation of the environment for infants or toddlers and selects, designs and fabricates assistive devices to facilitate development and promote the acquisition of functional skills with respect to the family’s culture and traditions.
  • Develops and implements appropriate treatment plan (IFSP) with the family and EI team.
  • Develops therapeutic activities and programs to prevent or minimize the impact of initial or future impairment, delay in development or loss of functional ability.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-year related experience working with infants and toddlers from birth to age 5. 
  • Licensed as a Social Worker in Massachusetts. 
  • Valid pediatric CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Provisional Early Intervention licensure; completion of CEIS portfolio within three years of hire.
  • Early Intervention services are provided in the child’s Natural Environments, which include the home, childcare settings and the community or other immediate environments natural the child and family’s environment. 
  • Employees must be able to provide reliable transportation to meet job needs as well as proof of a current driver’s license.
  • Able to get to the child’s level, climb stairs, deal with weather conditions, lift, bending and squatting.
  • Position hours: Monday: 9:00AM to 2:00PM; Tuesday: 11:30AM to 6:00PM; Wednesday: 9:00AM to 3:30PM; Thursday: 8:30AM to 2:30PM; Friday: 8:30AM to 2:30PM
