Description
Eaton’s Electrical Sector, Power Distribution & Control Assemblies (PDCA) Division, is seeking an Operations Excellence (OPEX) Manager to join our team at our Avery Creek/Asheville, North Carolina manufacturing facility. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates residing within the United States.
In this highly visible leadership role, you will champion continuous improvement initiatives that drive business growth, operational productivity, and world-class quality performance. As a strategic business partner and change leader, you will be responsible for advancing the Eaton Business System (EBS) across the facility, fostering a culture of operational excellence, and ensuring sustainable improvements throughout the organization.
You will lead key initiatives including the deployment of the Eaton Continuous Improvement System, Six Sigma program management, 8D corrective action processes, and the continued advancement of Eaton Business Excellence standards. Working cross-functionally, you will influence and align teams around critical business objectives, helping to transform processes, develop capabilities, and deliver measurable results.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $113,000 - $165,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
## What you’ll do:
- Drive continual improvement in the implementation of the Eaton Business System throughout the facility and plant organization.
- Drive Eaton Lean Six Sigma deployment through training, facilitation, and deployment resources.
- Foster continual improvement in project Management through the PROLaunch process.
- Identify and eliminate process variations resulting in external and internal failures through 8-D corrective action, Six Sigma, ELS, and other wastes. Drive method sheet improvements utilizing the manufacturing engineering team.
- Facilitate the discipline of the Leadership System for the site to drive performance through Operational Excellence
- Manage the capital appropriation process to ensure return expectations are met. Forecast capital expenditures for the current and future years. Ensure capital is maximized for the benefit of the facilities’ capabilities.
- Responsible for manufacturing engineering which owns the manufacturing process and full scale industrialization efforts for project/programmatic product launches.
- Manage continuous improvement team and activities driving VSM execution with emphasis on Lean Material Flow, Problem Solving, Standard Work, and 5S+.
- Serves as launch leader for project launches ensuring connectivity to engineering, operations, and supply chain for successful and on time launches to meet internal/external expectations.
- Owner of cost out project initiatives and reporting in alignment with profit plan expectations
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
## Qualifications:
Basic (required) Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
- Five years of progressive experience in manufacturing and/or engineering.
- One (1) year of leadership experience, such as Project Management, Product or Process Improvement/Implementation.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in lean methodology.
- Green/Black Belt Certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
