Job Summary: The DRP Supply Planner works directly with the North America DRP Supply Manager, North America Supply Chain Manager, and supply chain team to effectively report and analyze key metrics and data related to inventory health and customer order fulfillment, as well as managing and sustaining inventory levels within the US Low Bake network. The DRP Supply Planner owns and maintains the capability and sustainability of Transport Requirement Planning (TRP). The DRP Supply Planner translates and works directly with the supply chain team to challenge and improve current processes to improve network inventory levels, inventory day supply, and customer order fulfillment.

The DRP Supply Planner is accountable to provide quality and on-time supply chain reports, key metrics reported regionally and globally, collaborating with business teams to improve inventory health in North America and help maintain inventory levels to sustain service levels and inventory value goals as provided by the Axalta leadership teams.

Work Location: This role requires an onsite presence in Front Royal, VA and is not eligible for relocation nor sponsorship.

Expected Compensation: We consider an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience to determine final salary. This role is eligible for benefits such as health insurance and paid time off. The expected compensation range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 annually. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recommend and/or implement process improvements related to inventory health within the refinish, commercial vehicle and liquid industrial supply chain, as well as export/intercompany supply.
  • Analyze and communicate with supply chain team and operations by keeping the right materials on hand to maintain a certain level of inventory within the network associated with global inventory health goals.
  • Manage and sustain transport requirement planning with collaboration and execution by the warehouse scheduling team.
  • Review and improve open orders (leading metrics) and on time/in full (lagging metrics) with collaboration from demand planning, customer service and master/detailed scheduling including representing supply chain planning on MSO (multi-shop owner) Conversions for NA Refinish market.
  • Review and provide alternate shipping to customer service related to open order fulfillment (i.e. fulfilling orders from different locations, triggering STO fulfillment either from Front Royal TRP planning or manual STO planning within the network).
  • Redirect inventory appropriately within the North America network to maintain appropriate inventory levels, improve service and stop unnecessary batch planning.
  • Maintain safety stocks and safety stock analysis process.
  • Provide quarterly/bi-annual reviews on inventory strategies to the supply chain manager to leverage best practices to sustain target inventory levels: ABC strategies, safety stock levels, replenishment planning.
  • Accountable to ensure that finished good product is in the right place at the right time to service customers at an identified fill rate.
  • Efficiently analyze and collaborate with supply chain planning team to alleviate supply chain imbalances that are creating potential customer order stock outs, low inventory service risks and/or non-quality costs.
  • Extract key data from SAP and/or OMP planning tools to populate spreadsheets and databases for supply analysis, including weekly and monthly reporting and metric population. Create and implement new metrics to help maintain distribution management of materials in our US Low Bake network.
  • Validate data and escalate key issues related to data needs, reporting, and metrics.
  • Assist operations, sourcing and/or supply chain in the execution of production, sourcing, supply scheduling and planning, and/or inventory management plans.
  • Determine/challenge most appropriate method for providing/reporting desired data.
  • Represent inventory network management in related projects, group discussions, meetings, critical tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a ‘planning’ function within Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Materials Management, Logistics or Analytics.

OR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Materials Management, Logistics or related discipline.

Essential Skills/Knowledge:

  • Sound knowledge of supply planning, demand planning, S&OP process, inventory management, and forecasting.
  • Experience in batch planning processes with coatings or related industry alignment strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of technical aspects of product line.
  • Excellent writing capabilities and public speaking skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • APICS CPIM certification.
  • LEAN Management / Six Sigma
  • Experience with SAP/IBP
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Manufacturing / plant experience
  • Data analytics
