Work Shift
Day (United States of America)Job Summary:
Supervises food service personnel, daily reconciliation of cashiers, daily opening/closing of the facility, coordinating the production and serving of food, and ordering supplies. Basic administrative functions with SMG and FMS.
- Directs the activities performed in kitchen, dish room, dining areas, and/or patients services supply room and serving lines. Assists with the planning of special events and catering.
- Checks serving lines for proper methods used in serving food, appropriate food temperatures, proper food presentation display, appropriate menus and pricing, and assists with serving of food when needed.
- Maintains the securing of daily cash deposits. Reconciles cashiers and completes all cash worksheets.
- Supervises staff by interviewing and making recommendations for hire, making work assignments, reviewing work and training employees. Conducts staff coaching, counseling, and evaluation.
- Monitors HACCP procedures and documentation. Serves as "Safety Leader." Ensures retail standards are followed.
Required Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma / GED General Rrequired
Required Minimum Experience:
- Minimum 3 years specialized training in food service or related field Required
Required Minimum Skills:
Food and Nutrition environment with experience in multiple areas of service
Knowledgeable in normal and therapeutic nutrition or willing to learn and apply all aspects of nutrition and food handling
Understand and follow standard practice or oral/written instructions
Able to read and write; use simple arithmetic/record keeping, computers and simple office machines
