We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Vice President to manage the Participant Services Hotline and overseeing all participant-facing support services across cash and derivatives markets.Beyond participant service responsibilities, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our strategic transformation agenda through the development of a shared service utility Operations Hub across Hong Kong and Shenzhen. The role will lead large-scale functional migrations, operating model redesign, workforce transformation and service centralization initiatives to establish Shenzhen as a scalable and resilient Operations delivery hub supporting future business growth, market development and operational excellence.
As a senior people leader, the role will be accountable for building high-performing cross-location teams, strengthening leadership capability, driving organizational effectiveness and developing a strong talent pipeline to support the long-term sustainability of the Operations hub in Shenzhen. The position also requires extensive stakeholder engagement across senior management, regulators, market participants, internal business functions and technology teams to drive strategic alignment and successful execution of transformational initiatives.
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of operations, service delivery, people leadership and transformation experience with a proven track record in leading complex organizations through change while maintaining service excellence and strong stakeholder relationships.
Job Duties:
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Participant Services function and ensure the delivery of high-quality services and support to market participants across cash and derivatives markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clearing participants, custodians, banks, share registrars, vendors and other market stakeholders.
- Oversee participant engagement activities, training programs, market consultations and service enhancement initiatives.
- Manage market feedback and participant concerns while identifying opportunities to improve the overall participant experience.
- Develop and execute the long-term vision of a shared service utility operation hub and 3-year roadmap for Operations across Hong Kong and Shenzhen.
- Drive talent development, succession planning, and workforce transformation while fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Develop future workforce, capability and operating model to support business growth, market evolution, operational efficiency and succession planning.
- Drive modernization initiatives across Participant Services including AI adoption, automation, digitization, data analytics and process reengineering.
- Redefine business processes, service models and operating procedures to improve efficiency, scalability and client experience.
- Drive the successful execution of strategic projects to strengthen operational excellence, promote innovation and effectiveness. Build and lead high-performing teams through talent development and succession planning that strengthen organizational capability and future leadership pipelines.
- Strengthen operational resilience through robust risk management, governance, compliance and business continuity frameworks while fostering a strong risk and control culture
- Partner with key stakeholders to lead strategic initiatives and ensure alignment between business objectives and operational execution while representing Operations in senior management and external forums.
Job Requirements
- University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related disciplines.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in financial services, securities operations, custody, clearing, settlement, shared services utility or market infrastructure.
- Proven leadership experience managing large teams and complex stakeholder environments.
- Experience managing multi-location teams, shared service centers, regional operations or hybrid service delivery models is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated track record in business transformation, operating model redesign, process improvement and organizational change management.
- Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
- Strong people leadership capability with experience in talent development and succession planning.
- Excellent command of English, Cantonese, and Putonghua.
- Strong presentation and executive communication skills.
