Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer who is passionate about analyzing, designing and developing cutting edge software to solve a significant problem in the Provider Data Management space. As a Senior Engineer, you will be working on our newest product from top to bottom while creating new capabilities in various modules and will be a core software developer and problem solver. In this role, you will be a key member in designing and development of large-scale, cloud-native, multi-tenant systems to support the needs of our largest clients. The ideal candidate will be excited about working on new product development, is comfortable pushing the envelope and challenging the status quo, sets high standards for him/herself and the team, and works well with ambiguity.
What you will do:
- Work with a global cross-functional engineering team on developing new data services, tools to enable core Product capabilities.
- Develop and test cloud native, large scale, scalable, distributed, highly available, data pipelines that are suitable for a multi-tenant system.
- Partner with your peers to make quality design and engineering decisions.
- Utilize AI tools to accelerate engineering.
- Take full ownership of software development lifecycle including planning, design, development, test & deployment of database components.
- Evaluate new technology solutions, innovation, evolution, and trade-offs
- Participates in R&D, Proof of Concepts, Prototyping, Code review etc.
- Ensure software products meet all non-functional requirements including operational and security needs
- Handle and maintain multiple tracks of work in parallel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills
What you bring:
- 5+ years of extensive experience with data modeling, data management principles and best practices in order to properly store, and structure data for multiple applications.
- Strong knowledge in any Database platform such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server or similar
- Ability to program and develop advanced SQL scripts, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers & constraint.
- Very good experience in procedural programming in Python, Linux shell scripting
- (Preferred) Able to work with Airflow as building and debugging DAGs
- (Preferred) AWS or any major cloud provider experience
- Optimizes database performance through the use of database performance tuning techniques and tools.
- Strong analytical, logical skills and working with Agile/Scrum based development process
Bonus points:
- Nice to have healthcare domain experience, preferably with expertise in provider data and familiarity with HL7 or FHIR data models
- Java backend experience

**The annual US base salary range for this position is $135,000 to $145,000. This salary range may cover multiple career levels at HealthEdge. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process and is based on a combination of factors including, but not limited to, your skills, experience, qualifications and education.
