The County also offers an alternative Modified Benefits Option (MBO) that provides a wage differential.

Option 1: | Work Experience: Four (4) years of journey-level experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial equipment for heating, ventilation, cooling (HVAC/chiller/boiler), and package units. |
| Option 2: | Apprenticeship: Successful completion of a formal (4-year) air conditioning apprenticeship program resulting in journey-level status. Indicate apprenticeship provider and completion date on the Supplemental Questionnaire. A copy of your certificate or card must be attached to the application. |

| Certification: | Possession of an EPA 608 Universal Certification. A copy of your certification must be submitted as an attachment to your online application. Failure to provide the requested documents will result in disqualification from the recruitment process. |
