Role summary:
The (USA) Associate Merchant supports category management by assisting with supplier negotiations, purchase order administration, and item setup for stores and online channels. About the team:
The Associate Merchant team plays a vital role in managing vendor relationships and supporting category strategy for Preschool Ride Ons. This team collaborates closely with suppliers and internal partners to ensure accurate product setup, effective negotiation, and seamless execution of promotional activities. Utilizing data analysis and supplier management skills, the team drives category performance and enhances the customer experience across channels. Members contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and assortment planning while maintaining compliance with company standards. The team fosters a professional environment focused on continuous improvement, operational excellence, and delivering value to customers.
What you'll do:

• Provide administrative support for supplier negotiations and manage purchase orders within assigned categories.
• Assist merchants in resolving supplier issues and facilitate the setup of new suppliers for stores and online channels.
• Execute customer communication and education programs in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor category performance through data analysis and support budgeting, forecasting, and sales reporting activities.
• Support item setup, pricing recommendations, and modular assortment implementation to optimize product presentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs, implement solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience in vendor relationship management and supplier negotiations within retail or related sectors.
• Strong skills in category strategy development and execution to support merchandising goals.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to inform decision-making and track category performance.
• Ability to manage purchase orders and resolve supplier issues efficiently.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally to support customer-focused initiatives and omni-channel strategies.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking at the category or subcategory level.
• Effective communication skills to build partnerships and support business solutions.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
