Our client, Missouri Slope Areawide United Way, a trusted nonprofit and staple in the Bismarck/Mandan region, is seeking an experienced and organized Office Administrator to support staff, volunteers, donors, and community initiatives. This position coordinates day-to-day administrative and financial activities, manages key office processes, and helps ensure the organization has the tools and resources needed to advance its mission. Responsibilities

The Office Administrator serves as a key resource for staff, volunteers, and organizational leadership, helping ensure projects, initiatives, and daily operations stay on track. This role provides onboarding, training, guidance, and administrative support while coordinating fundraising activities, community events, donor engagement efforts, and office operations. The position also oversees financial and donor administration, regulatory reporting, and facility needs, helping create an organized, efficient, and supportive environment that enables the team to focus on advancing the organization's mission.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate brings an associate's or bachelor's degree in business, accounting, nonprofit administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Three to five years of administrative, office management, bookkeeping, nonprofit, or accounting support experience is preferred. Strong organizational, communication, project coordination, data entry, and data management skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and database or CRM systems. Experience with donor management, accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliations, audit preparation, Smartsheet, and other nonprofit operations is highly desirable.  The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative environment and can effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
