Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deploy artificial intelligence and automation solutions that accelerate clinical trial data workflows.
Build scalable tools that improve document processing, data extraction, and analytical efficiency.
Collaborate with quantitative sciences, technology, and innovation teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
Translate complex scientific and data challenges into practical, value-driven engineering outcomes.
Champion adoption of artificial intelligence technologies through expert guidance and technical leadership.
Ensure solutions meet quality, compliance, privacy, and regulatory standards within drug development.
Stay at the forefront of industry advancements and contribute to external scientific communities.
Promote a culture of innovation, continuous learning, collaboration, and operational excellence.
Essential Requirements:
Master's degree or doctorate in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Bioinformatics, or related quantitative discipline.
Proven experience developing artificial intelligence and automation solutions within a scientific or technical environment.
Strong expertise in software engineering best practices, including testing, documentation, deployment, and version control.
Advanced programming skills in Python or R, with experience building and deploying production solutions.
Specialist knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, large language models, or advanced data science methods.
Experience working with large-scale computing environments, databases, cloud platforms, or distributed systems.
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality scientific or technical outcomes in a collaborative environment.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: £ 57,050.00 - £105,950.00
The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.
