This is a local driving position but 6 months of OTR experience within the last two years is required for an application to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Moving trailers from our yard to our customer’s distribution centers nearby.
• Spotting inbound & outbound trailers.
• Ensuring sufficient equipment is available for customer needs.
• Must have good communication with drivers on load requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service to our Prime drivers and customers.
• Additional work-related tasks as needed.

Schedule: 6pm - 6am - 5 days on 3 days off 

Qualifications

Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

 

Knowledge

Basic knowledge of the trucking/transportation industry preferred.

 

Abilities

Strong organizational, computer, and customer service skills required. Multitasking and a flexible schedule required.  Required 3rd shift availability could be necessary for this position.

 

Experience, Education, and Training

A High School diploma or GED is required;  Minimum 6 months of experience hauling a 53-ft trailer OTR is required - must be within the last two years. 

 

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to get in and out of trailers and hook/disconnect trailers multiple times per day. Candidate must be able to lift and carry 20lbs (includes mattress lift, rebar and sledgehammer to unlock brakes). Candidate must also be able to push and pull 80lbs (includes fuel hose, truck cab hood and clutch).

 

Working Environment

Both indoor and outdoor working environment with exposure to varying weather conditions.

 

Licensing/Certification

Must have valid CDL with six months of CDL A experience and a clean driving record.

Must be able to pass a DOT physical prior to being hired.
